“Climate Change: An Eastern Caribbean Journey" - A Virtual Photography Exhibition commissioned by the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States in partnership with the German Development Cooperation (GIZ).This photography exhibition explores contemporary notions of Human Mobility in the Context of Climate Change (HMCCC).
The COVID-19 pandemic has certainly changed the way we engage and interact with one another. It has also influenced other areas of our lives, even how we observe and engage with the Arts. These changes challenge the Art community to embrace the new technologies. This virtual exhibition is set up to resemble a modern art gallery, exploring human experiences during powerful moments of climate change in Eastern Caribbean Islands.
The exhibition features over 30 artists representing six Eastern Caribbean Islands: Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Guadeloupe, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The exhibition consists of three rooms, with the following headings: Mobility, Human and Climate. As you journey through each room, you will see photos relating to each heading and exploring their connection with them.
Featured Artists - Andrew M. Richards, Ayeola L. George, Dani Devaux, Daniel Dabriou, Derek Gallon, Kirk Elliott, Marica Honychurch, Michael Lees, Nadia Huggins, Oji Thomas, Yuri Jones, and more.
